SHA BEST DEPARTMENT AWARDS

Dear Industry Colleagues,

The 2018 SHA Best Department Awards, providing a benchmark for service standards in the Rooms Division, is now open for registration. With generous sponsorship from Peak Hospitality Solutions, this competition is in support of SHA’s objective of Raising the Bar on professionalism and service standards of the hotel industry in Singapore.

Since 2007, this competition has recognised the best in class for 4 departments in the Rooms Division (Front Office, Concierge, Reservations and Housekeeping) in the following 3 categories of hotels: Luxury, Deluxe and Superior.

As with previous years, the mystery shopping exercises will be executed between August and October 2018.   After the exercise, participating hotels will be able to access their audit reports online.

To indicate your hotel’s interest in participating in the competition, please click here and complete the form before 31st July 2018.   Upon receipt of your indication of interest, we will provide you with further details on the competition and how you could access the mystery shopper’s reports online at the end of the exercise.

Competition Format

The mystery shopping exercise will begin in August and end in October 2018.

The audit reports, collated by Peak Hospitality Solutions, will be ready for review by the participating hotels at the end of the exercise.

For each award category, the participating hotel with the highest points shall be declared the winner.

Entry Criteria

To qualify for the competition, the hotel must

  1. Register using official form sent by ARDE.
  2. Provide a complimentary room night voucher, including a Buffet Dinner and Breakfast for two guest only.
