When i was a student, I remember being introduced to ROTY by my lecturers. I thought of it as a very interesting way of nurturing new hoteliers and secretly hoped that if i had a chance to participate in something prestigious like this, i would give it my best shot and make the most out of it. Little did i know that it would turn into reality a couple of years later. When i was nominated and given the opportunity to represent my hotel in this year’s ROTY, i was elated and agreed to take on this challenge almost immediately.

It was indeed a one-of-a-kind experience and i believe that it has been a fruitful journey for every contestant who has gone through it. I would like to express my sincere gratitude towards the people who have guided me through this competition and provided me with their outmost support as well ad the ARDE members who have contributed selflessly each year. I feel that this journey has evoked a sense of confidence in me, with the motivation to better myself in the face of each guest encounter as we have learnt to handle vastly different guests in unique circumstances and stressful situations. It has also given me a new reason to stay in the industry as i value and treasure the friendships forged with my fellow contestants.
